City Parks
The City of Russellville manages and maintains eleven city parks
including a community center offering activities for all ages. In the
summer of 2002, Russellville served as the host of the 16-year old Babe
Ruth World Series.
Lake Dardanelle State Park
Lake Dardanelle State Park is located on the shores of beautiful Lake
Dardanelle and the Arkansas River. This park offers boat access ramps,
fishing piers with handicapped accessibility, information center, 332
campsites, cabins, marina and boat repair, putt putt golf, amphitheater,
and is the weigh in station and headquarters for several fishing
tournaments throughout the year.
Other Area Parks
Russellville is part of the Arkansas River Valley Tri-Peaks tourist
region. It takes its name from three state parks atop Mt. Magazine, Mt.
Nebo, and Petit Jean Mountain. All just minutes from Russellville,
these parks offer cabins, camping, fishing, swimming, hiking trails,
tennis, paddle boats, playgrounds, breathtaking scenery, hang-gliding,
waterfalls, or simply just enjoying the sounds and scenes of nature.
