The vision of the
Russellville School District is to educate students for participation in
the fast-paced global community. This involves building a strong
foundation in basic skills, as well as developing problem solving skills
and training in the use of technology. The district seeks to prepare
students to function in the world of work and prepare those so inclined
to enter higher education or advanced training.
Russellville students
traditionally score above the 50th percentile of all students across the
nation taking the Stanford Achievement Test 9. One student for every
16.25 who participates qualifies as a National Merit Semifinalist. This
is one of the highest ratios in the state and compares favorably with
top quality school systems throughout the nation. More than 50 percent
of our high school graduates enroll in programs of higher education each
year. The average ACT score of Russellville High School students is
22.4.
In cooperation with
Arkansas Tech University, an Outstanding High School Program is offered
to provide qualified high school students (grades 9-12) the opportunity
to earn college credit by attending the university during the summer
while enrolled in high school.
